Course Overview
Tee off with the kangaroos at Marangaroo Golf Course!
5615 metres, Par 72
This course was built by the City of Wanneroo in a bushland setting. In addition to accommodating golfers, the course also plays host to kangaroos, who use the territory to sun themselves.
Since opening in 1988, Marangaroo Golf Course has become one of Perth's busiest 18-hole public courses. The course creator, Murray Dawson, was a prolific designer of courses in WA, designing over thirty courses. His brief for designing the courses was to provide a gentle but interesting test through the natural bushland with many doglegs and blind tee shots.
The City of Wanneroo built the course in a beautiful bushland setting. It measures 5,616 metres (6,177 yards) off the back tees and is also home to many kangaroos. One of the most interesting holes is the 422 metre par five 11th which is a narrow, double dogleg over a hill.
